Registration for Aspendale Stingrays Soccer Club opens on 1 February 2019.

New players are not required to seek approval from the Club to sign up. The season commences 6th / 7th April 2019 for MiniRoos and Juniors.

How to Register

Football Victoria is using a new registration system in 2019.

All families will need to create a new Football Account for 2019. This new Football Account will allow family members (including parents) to be linked through one account.

FFA has migrated all current and previous registrations to the new system. If you have registered before you will be able to claim profiles from MyFootballClub provided you use the same email address to sign up.

Step 1: Find your club and start your registration

  • Click on: https://www.playfootball.com.au/#whereCanIPlay
  • Select age group based on the year your child was born (see table below). Club volunteers (i.e. coaches, assistant coaches, committee, etc.) can also sign up as a volunteer by following the same steps below.

It is recommended that new players born in 2014/2015 sign up to the Aspendale SC Kick-off Skills Program prior to playing U7 competition if they are not yet confident in playing soccer or other team activities. The Skills Program is a great way for kids to learn fundamental skills that will help them when they are ready to play competitions. Note that there will be plenty of new children who haven’t played soccer before who are born in 2012/2013 and will play in U7 teams.  Refer here for details for the Kick-off Program which the Club will run during the soccer season: https://www.playfootball.com.au/miniroos-kickoff-finder

Step 2: Create your Football AccountSearch for your Aspendale SC and click on “Start Registration”.

  • Instead of using your FFA number to access the registration system, you will now need a Football Account. If you do not already have one you can create one very easily using your email address, Facebook login or Google login. It is likely that you will need to create a new Football Account if you have not used this system in 2019.
  • IMPORTANT: You will not be able to claim your participant history if your email address or social login does not match the email address used for registrations on the old MyFootballClub.

Step 3: Claiming your participant history

  • After logging into your Football Account, you will be presented with a list of matching profiles from MyFootballClub where the email addresses match. You must link any profiles at this stage in order to register them to a club in the future.

Step 4: Provide registration details and pay

Photos will need to be supplied only for U12 – U18 players. MiniRoos players (U7-U11) do not need to upload a photo.

Payment must be made to register – the registration will not be saved and the Club will not receive the registration if the payment is not complete.

Confirm your registration once logged into your account by clicking on you name (top right corner) > My Registration > Click on Name (top right corner) > Linked Records > Select Player > Manage my Registration > Activity > Registrations > Pending/ITC Registrations should be “Approval Required”.

Registration for players will be approved by the Club Registrar the week prior to games commencing.

Refer to the following website for further information on how to register, or contact the Club Registrar at registrar@aspendalesc.com for queries.

Fees in 2019

Being a family orientated soccer Club, Aspendale SC strives to keep our playing fees as low as possible. We have maintained the same fees as in 2018 which are detailed below.

Note that loan of an Aspendale SC match top is included in the cost of the fees and is to be returned at the end of the playing season (for those playing U7 and above). The only additional costs incurred will be for the player kit (e.g. boots, shin guards, socks, shorts). Socks and shorts can be purchased from the Club at a later date. Also available will be Club branded merchandise for those interested.

Fees are to be paid by credit card during the registration process.

Age Group fees

U7 – U11: $290

U12 – U20: $350

Seniors: $500 (State League) or $400 Metro. Note: Seniors fees are to be paid in two instalments (first instalment is $250).

Training, Matches, Teams and Coaching

Training:

Training for MiniRoos (U7 – U11) is usually on one weeknight for an hour, with the day and time dependent on the availability of the coach, players and ground allocation.

Training for Juniors / Seniors may have more than one training session.

Matches:

Players in MiniRoos can select to play on either Saturday or Sunday mornings.

MiniRoos matches run for approximately 1 hour (20 / 25 minute halves).

Matches will usually alternate between home and away locations.

Juniors matches are on Sunday mornings (apart from U12 which are on Saturday or Sunday).

MiniRoos and Juniors matches will commence on 6th / 7th April 2019.

Teams:

Players will be allocated into teams by the registrar and age group co-ordinators. Preference for allocation into teams will be given to players who played in 2018 followed by new players who register early.

Players from 2018 will usually be moved up with the same team and age group.

Coaching:

Coaches for MiniRoos and Junior teams are volunteers who are usually parents of players in the team.

All coaches must have a valid Working with Children Check which is enforced by the Club.
