Event Registration Fee Packages

In our humble opinion, this is one of the best things about using Majestri to get your members registering for club events.

As part of our silver service, we will build you a custom fee calculator for any event that you run at the club. Whether it be your main outdoor season, coaching clinics, social competitions - anything at all. If you can explain the rules to us about how people get charged, we can model that in software and plug it into your checkout for that event.

This guide will explain how to provide us instruction for your snowflake fee calculator and then how to plug it into your event and set the right amounts.

Where?

Fees are attached to your event on the Setup screen.

After clicking the button you'll get a popup of all the fee calculators available for that event (normally there's only one). Select the one you want to use.

You'll then have a chance to fill in all of the amounts for each item on your custom fee schedule. The beauty of this is that you can use the structure over and over again and just adjust the prices as each year passes.

A couple of scenarios may arise where you don't have a fee calculator that fits in with how your event works:


1. The rules of calculation have changed from previous events of the same type
This is common in the world of team sports. You may introduce new age groups or decide to implement new volunteer discounts or family levies. It can happen.

2. It's a brand new type of event that you've never run before
When you come to realise how useful Majestri is for running all of your club events during the year, you'll want to use it for everything.

All you need to do is send us an email at support@majestri.com.au and tell us about the custom fee calculator that you'd like us to build.
To save us time and to ensure that we turn it around for you as quickly as possible, please make sure that you've included every single piece of information that can affect the composition of somebody's invoice. Some common examples are:
  • The whole set of age groups that you may offer as a club. Frequently, there is a different charge per age group. We need to know all about this.
  • Discount rules - this is common in junior age groups where siblings can appear on the same registration.
  • Volunteer discounts - you may knock some money off the top of somebody's invoice if they volunteer for the club.
  • Family levies - This is usually a charge per registration, not player.
  • Ticket pricing - For social events it's common to have tiered pricing (ie. Adults vs. Concession vs. Child)
We want to know everything, and we mean everything. If in doubt, tell us about it.

Frequently, pricing is calculated using fields on the registration form (ie. if they answer "no" to this question, charge them this). Please also read our short guide on building your registration form as that is just as important and also needs to be included on your email to us.


Earlybird Discount Pricing

It's pretty common for a lot of clubs to have two levels of pricing in order to encourage early payment from members. At some point in the future you may want to jack up the prices to punish the stragglers who are registering and paying late.


Luckily, we've anticipated this and Majestri supports this behaviour.

To do this, we need to have already built you a custom fee calculator and you've attached it to your event and laid out your fees (at earlybird amounts). Your fee setup should look a little something like this.

If you click the + Add Fees button again, you'll get the same screen as you did earlier, but with a difference - there is now an effective date for the new amounts that you've going to set!

You can now set your elevated amounts for each item that will kick into effect from that point in the future that you specify.
